      Abstract:Yangjiang city lies in the west of Guangdong,in which typhoon always occurs every year. The rice late season overlaps with the time that typhoon occur frequently. Rice plants could induce physical injure because of flood caused by typhoon and hard rain,which make rice bacterial blight arise and prevalent. To increase the rice yield and quality in heavy rice bacterial blight zone in Yangjiang and insure the rice safe production,it is requisite to adopt the rice varieties with high bacterial blight resistance in the local region. Agricultural and science research institute of Yangjiang screened out a few varieties with high yield and resistance,and did the demonstration feature identification in disease zone according to the data of rice region trial in recent years. The demonstration feature results showed that demonstrated varieties Baixiangzhan and Zhenyou 9822 with high yield,excellent quality,strong resistance and wide adaptability trait based on resistance identification and yield assessment showed highly effective prevention against rice bacterial blight in historical disease zone of Yangjiang city. The rice varieties Baixiangzhan and Zhenyou 9822 had promising application. These two resistant varieties were suggested to apply widey in the region of Yangjiang city.
