Optimization of Extraction Process and Composition Analysis of Essential Oil from Cymbidium sinense "Yingchunsu"

Abstract:
      【Objective】The new variety 'Yingchunsu' was used as raw material to make the essential oil of Cymbidium sinense, to improve the yield of the essential oil and to analyze the aroma composition of the essential oil. In order to improve the yield of essential oil and to analyze the components of essential oil, a new Cymbidium sinense variety 'Yingchunsu' was used as raw material to produce essential oil.【Method】The extraction conditions of Cymbidium sinense 'Yinchunsu' essential oil were optimized by single factor and orthogonal test, and the chemical components of the essential oil were analyzed by headspace solid phase microextraction-gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS).【Result】 The essential oil extracted from ethanol is bright in color, rich in flavor and good in flavor.The optimum extraction conditions of Cymbidium sinense 'Yinchunsu' essential oil were as follows: 1:9(g/mL) ratio, 40 min, ultrasonic extraction time Ultrasonic extraction temperature 50℃. Under these conditions, the yield of essential oil could reach 2.96%. A total of 78 compounds including aldehydes, alcohols, aromatic compounds, ketones, alkanes, olefins, carboxylic acids, esters, and other compounds were detected in the extracted essential oil. The chemical components with high content are palmitic acid (17.37%), nonaldehyde (10.57%), n-pentadecanoic acid (8.69%), 24 alkane (4.65%), alloy alcohol (4.03%). 【Conclusion】 The quality of Cymbidium sinense 'Yinchunsu' essential oil obtained by ethanol was better. By optimizing the ratio of material to liquid, the time of ultrasonic extraction and the temperature of ultrasonic extraction, the yield of Cymbidium sinense 'Yinchunsu' essential oil could be increased. The main components of essential oil are palmitic acid, nonaldehyde, n-pentadecanoic acid , 24 alkane and alloy huanol.
