Founded in 1965, Guangdong Agricultural Sciences is a comprehensive academic journal of agriculture sponsored by Guangdong Academy of Agricultural Sciences and South China Agricultural University, and supervised by Guangdong Academy of Agricultural Sciences. The journal is characterized by its academic, scientific and practical nature. It mainly reports the new achievements of basic research and application research in different disciplines within the scientific research field of China's agriculture, as well as the new progresses and review comments of the research in different disciplines. Meanwhile, it highlights the characteristics of tropical and subtropical agriculture in South China. So far, Guangdong Agricultural Sciences has been indexed by Chemical Abstracts (CA), Zoological Record (ZR), Ulrich’s Periodicals Directory, Index of Copurnicus (IC) and other international databases.

In China, the journal has been indexed by China Academic Journals Full-text Database (China National Knowledge Infrastructure), Wanfang Data Knowledge Service Platform, Chinese Sci-tech Periodical Database (Chongqing VIP), Superstar Digital Library and other Chinese databases. It was selected as the key magazine of China technology (2019) and listed in RCCSE China Core Academic Journals (A-). In addition, it was awarded as one of Excellent University Sci-tech Periodicals and the excellent journal of Guangdong Province in 2018.

3 Manuscript Review

Each manuscript must be accompanied by a standard English abstract, and figures, tables and references must also be provided in both Chinese and English.

Each manuscript is strictly subject to the "three-review system", i.e., preliminary review by discipline editors, anonymous external review by 1-4 peer experts, and final review by director of editorial department or chief editor, so as to ensure the seriousness and fairness of review. Generally, professional review comments and review results can be issued within 30 days after the manuscript is submitted for publication.

This journal advocates academic innovation and firmly opposes academic fraud and scientific research integrity misconduct. If any academic misconduct is found in the thesis published, the journal will make a statement to retract the thesis.
