| The hybrid offsprings (100 cocks and 100 hens) of Guangzhou silky fowl ( ) and Jiangxi Taihe silky fowl
(), and additional 100 cocks and 100 hens of Jiangxi Taihe silky fowl at the same age were selected. The breeding study
with a total of 400 chickens was carried out to observe the change of production performance and appearance
characteristics of the hybrid offsprings in 11-week trial period. The results showed that the daily gain of the first filial
generation no matter male or female was extremely significantly higher, the daily intake was significantly higher, the feed
conversion ratio was lower than that of Jiangxi Taihe silky fowl. The difference contrasts of the appearance and meat black
degree were neither notable among the first filial generation and Jiangxi Taihe silky fowl. |
