62 pepper germplasms collected from different regions were planted in Zhanjiang. Their main characters
such as fruit weight, fruit shape, fruit color, taste, epidermal feature, plant height, the node of the first flower, yield per
plant, branching number and fruiting stage were compared. Their disease resistances in the field and main characters were
considered, and five resistant germplasms with higher yield and better phenotype were selected. They could be used in
production or for breeding new varieties. |
