【Objective】Silicon fertilizer is a kind of multifunctional fertilizer, which can significantly increase the dry
matter accumulation, alleviate the biotic and abiotic stresses, and promote the growth of crops. Effects of different application
rates of silicon fertilizer on rice growth were explored.【Method】Three conventional rice varieties were taken as test
materials, and 4 treatments with different dosages of silicon fertilizer were set. The indicators such as main agronomic traits,
yield, stem strength, root morphology and silicon content in stem were measured to study the effects of different application
rates of silicon fertilizer on the growth of rice.【Result】Based on the determination results, the indicators of rice treated
silicon fertilizer were higher than those of the control, and the effects of different application rates of silicon fertilizer on the
growth of rice were different. Under the high-fertilizer treatment of 270 kg/hm2, rice had the highest indicators in the main
agronomic traits, yield and stem strength, indicating that silicon fertilizer could promote the absorption and transformation
of plant nutrients, increase rice seed setting rate and thousand-grain weight, and increase rice yield. From the results
of root scans, it was found that the application rates of medium and low silicon fertilizers at 90 kg/hm2 and 180 kg/hm2could effectively promote root growth, and root indicators were higher than those of the control and high-fertilizer treatments.
【Conclusion】Silicon has a good effect on root growth and plant growth. At the same time, the increase of silicon fertilizer can
improve the lodging resistance of rice plants. |
