The flower industry in nine mainland cities of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA)has a long history and profound cultural heritage, with certain competitive advantages in the world. By retrieving the Chinese enterprise database and intellectual property database, and consulting the relevant yearbooks of flower industry in China, Guangdong Province, Guangzhou City, Foshan City, Huizhou City and other areas, the development of flower industry in the nine mainland cities of GBA were deeply studied and analyzed. The results showed that the flower planting area in Guangdong is on the rise, but the proportion of flower planting area in Guangdong is on the decline compared with the growth rate of flower planting area in the whole country. The development of flower industry in the nine mainland cities of GBA concentrated most of the flower industry operators in Guangdong Province. The development bottleneck of flower planting is prominent, and the flower planting area in Guangzhou, Foshan and Huizhou shows a downward trend. The trend of flower industry upgrading and industrial transfer is obvious, and the proportion of flower planting enterprises in the nine mainland cities of GBA is declining. The proportion of flower wholesale and flower retail enterprises shows an increasing trend. There are rich flower industry platforms in the nine mainland cities of GBA. Currently, the main problems are as follows: the development of flower industry in different cities is unbalanced, the planning of flower industry is absent, the attribute of flower planting land is prominent, and the industrial scientific and technological innovation capacity needs to be further strengthened. According to the analysis of the current development situation and existing problems, in the future, it is suggested to rely on industry associations and industrial alliances to formulate relevant plans, take into account the adherence to the red line of cultivated land and the deep excavation of land resources, do a good job in the upgrading, expansion and transfer of the flower industry, establish a flower market circulation system that participates in the domestic market cycle, improve the technological content and added value of the flower industry through the reform and innovation of scientific and technological systems, and actively prepare for various flower cultural activities. |
