| 10 maize hybrid combinations from Henan Institute of Science and Technology were used. Marginal effect of the kernel yield per plant, and main agronomic traits relative to yield were analyzed. The results indicated that under the 60 000 plants/hm2 cultivate density, with the difference of the characters, the expressing marginal effect had some differences in trial. The marginal effects were found in the third peripheral plants for ear diameter, ear length, and kernel number per row. The marginal effect of kernel yield per plant was found in the second peripheral plants. The marginal effects of the weight per 100 kernels and stem diameter were showed in tip plant.
However, there were no marginal effect be discovered in number of ear row and ear tip-barrenness. An arrange of the total peripheral effect could be 0~27.92%. |
