The contents of eight catechins and four theaflavins in Danxia black tea were analyzed. Then, total antioxidant activity of Danxia black tea was determined using FRAP method. Finally, the effect of Danxia black tea on the growth and proliferation of human of gastric cancer SGC 7901 cells in vitro was detected by MTT assay. The result showed that Danxia black tea with the highest content of total catechines and total theaflavins was Danxia No.2, and the descending order of total antioxidant activity was Danxia No.1 > Danxia No.2 > Danxia No.8. With increasing concentrations of tea samples, Danxia NO.8 dose-dependently inhibited the proliferation of SGC 7901 cells, and the inhibition effect was more significant than that of Danxia No.1 and No.2, which suggested that Danxia NO.8 had better anticancer activity. |
