The POD isoenzymes activities and zymograms of eight widely cultivated tomatoe varieties leaves and stems in seedling
stage were analyzed in this experiment. The results showed that the highest isoenzyme activity of leaves was measured in Zhongza 9, while the lowest was found in Zhongza 11. The isoenzyeme activity values of leaves were higher that of the stem in all eight varieties. There were four bands of POD in leaves, difference between for two to four in different kinds of tomatoes, while it were 2 bands of POD in stems of all kinds of tomatoes. It showed that the genetic relationship were near by the cluster analysis of zymograms distances. |
