Abstract:
An experiment was conducted to investigate effects of different nitrogen levels (0, 5, 15, 25 kg per 667 m2), used urea as nitrogen source and applied through drip irrigation, on the content of total soluble solid, soluble sugar, titratable acid, vitamin C and soluble protein of postharvest storage pineapple (Ananas comosus cv. Comtede Paris) fruit. The results showed that compared with the control, appropriate amount of nitrogen fertilizer applications could increase the content of soluble solids and soluble sugar in harvest, and reduce vitamin C content in fruits. But it slowed down the reduction of soluble solids content and soluble sugar content and improved the content of titratable acid, vitamin C and soluble protein of storage fruits. 15 kg per 667 m2 application could effectively improve the storage quality of pineapple fruits.
