Electrical impedance spectroscopy, as a method of research in plant physiology, treats the plant tissue as an equivalent
circuit. The changes of electrical impedance spectrum parameters possibly reflect the physiological changes of plant tissue and characterize the changes of plant cell membrane permeability. By exploring the relationship between electrical impedance spectrum parameters and relevant physiological indexes of the plant cell membrane permeability, electrical impedance spectroscopy indicates the plant physiological state with the features of convenient, fast and non-destructive. And its application in plant physiological aspects of plant cell membrane permeability has a tendency to widely in recent years. This paper reviewed the applications of electrical impedance spectroscopy so far in plant adversity stresses, fruit ripening, vegetable storage, graft survival and root morphology, etc. |
