Abstract:
In order to evaluate effects of dehydration treatment on Chinese wampee 【Clausena lansium (Lour.) Skeels】mature seeds, several physiological indexes of seeds dehydrated with different degrees for 7 days were compared. Chinese wampee seeds were putted in a dryer which contains saturated solution of LiCl(RH 12%), MgCl2(RH 32%), Mg(NO3)2 (RH 52%), NaCl(RH 72%), H2O(RH 100%) for dehydration treatment. The results showed that a higher dehydration level led to the lower germination rate, germination potential, peroxidase (POD) and superoxide dismutase (SOD) activities but soluble protein increased. The results of POD isoenzyme electrophoresis indicated that POD has been decomposed with the loss of water content, especially the small molecular ones.
