With the long-term GIMMS NDVI time series from 1982 to 2006, the disturbance events in primary broad-leaved Korean
pine forests in Changbaishan natural reserve (CBS) were detected by the BFAST algorithm, and the trend of phenological dynamics was also analysed. The BFAST results showed that there were no abrupt changes in the seasonal components and the trend components of primary broad-leaved Korean pine forests in CBS, and there was also no increasing or decreasing trend in the trend components. The BFAST results implied that there were no disturbance events which had impact on NDVI and the primary broad-leaved Korean pine forests in CBS kept on steady state. The results of the trend analysis on the undisturbed forests showed that the start of growing season of the primary broad-leaved Korean pine forest in CBS delayed significantly (P<0.05), the end of growing season did not significantly change, and the length of growing season prolonged significantly (P<0.0.5). The delay of the start of growing season in CBS was probably caused by the remarkable decline of annual sunshine hours and percentage of sunshine. |
