Abstract:
An experiment was set up to investigate the growth effect of ratoon cane under drip irrigation conditions.Treatments were processed on one year ratoon canes by using series new GuiTang sugarcane varieties, leaf nutrition, cane yield and quantity have been determined. The results indicated that: 1) there was no significant difference in leaf nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium content between drip irrigation and control at the elongation growth stage. 2) Drip irrigation could increase the cane yield by different percentage of different varieties, GT33 increased by 26.1% as compared to control, the yield of GT31, GT32 and GT34 was also increased by above 20%. 3) Besides, cane quality could be improved under drip irrigation, such as sucrose content was increased by 0.2%-0.7%, and juice gravity purity increased by 1%-3% when contrast to control.
