Abstract:
With 10 common species of understory shrub of Broad Leaved Korean Pine (Pinus koraiensis) Mixed Forest in Jiaohe as test objects, according to the growth forms, biomass models were constructed for different organs and the whole plant of tree-like shrub (single trunked: Euonymus alatus and Rhamnus yoshinoi) and typical shrub (multi-stemmed or low branching: Ribes komarovii, Viburnum burejaeticum and V. sargentii). The results indicated that the optimal biomass models were linear models or power function models, the significance level of each model was 0.001 except for the new branche bimass model of Ribes komarovii with P value<0.01, the new branch bimass model of Viburnum burejaeticum with P<0.05. For the biomass model of individual plant, there was significant correlation between biomass and ground diameter(D) or the square of ground diameter multiplied by the tree height (D2H) except for the leaf biomass and branch biomass of Rhamnus yoshinoi which was the best correlation with plant volume (Vc). For the typical shrub, leaf biomass, new branch biomass, old branch biomass, branch biomass, stem biomass and aboveground biomass model based on each branch individuals were better than the biomass model besed on total bush, otherwise, the belowground biomass model and totall bush biomass model were just the opposite, thus, it is convenient to construct belowground biomass model and total biomass model with Dc or Dc2Hc as independent variable for estimating belowground biomass and total biomass of typical shrub.
