Abstract:
Observations on the lesions in tissues and cells of Eriocheir sinensis with hepatopancreas symptoms were carried out by conventional paraffin section preparation method, and the enzymatic activities of the superoxide dismutase (SOD) , catalase (CAT), glutathione peroxidase(G-PX), malondialdehyde(MDA) in hepatopancreas were monitored by biochemical techniques. Results showed that the structure of hepatopancreas and gills changed seriously in diseased crabs. The pathological characteristics showed that the basic structure of hepatopancreas and gills were totally collapse, other organizations including heart, muscle also had varying degrees of pathological changes in the worst case. No obviously pathological change was found in intestinal. The three antioxidant enzyme activity in hepatopancreas and the content of malondialdehyde changed greatly. CAT activity in the hepatopancreas showed no significant change in slight hepatopancreas symptoms. With the deterioration of the hepatopancreas symptoms, the value of the three kinds of enzymes and MDA were showing significant differences.
