Abstract:
This paper was based on the 2012 survey data of the lychee main production areas in Guangdong, it respectively analyzed the input-output and economic benefits of lychee from regions, scales and varieties aspects. The results indicated that: Guangdong lychee was mainly grown in western Guangdong and the Pearl River Delta area, the scale and cost-profit rate were the lowest in eastern Guangdong, the Pearl River Delta area had the highest yield value(per 667 m2), the western Guangdong had the highest yield (per 667 m2)but its yield value was less than the Pearl River Delta region. Both the scale of below 0.67 hm2 and above 3.33 hm2 had higher yield, as it presented a significantly positive correlation between the yield value and the scale of planting, so we can upgraded the production efficiency through moderate expansion of the planting scale. The lychee cultivation was based on two main varieties as Guiwei and Feizixiao in Guangdong, and these two varieties both had a higher yield value. In addition, Nuomici and Heiye also had a higher yield value, so we should strengthen their variety improvement and extension.
