Abstract:
      Many kinds of fruit and cucurbitaceous vegetables are infected by the fruit fly, which results in serious economic loss. The frequent used trap technology by sex or nutrition attractant has been proved to be safe and efficient in practice. The effect of a novel nutrition attractant named SHIYINGKE contained 0.05% abamectin on fruit flies infected balsam pear under the field condition was investigated in this paper. The attractant SHIYINGKE could trap various fruit flies effectively by 1~20 times diluents, including Bactrocera dorsalis (Hendel), B. cucuribitae (Coquillett) and other species of fruit flies, which accounted for about 70%, 15%~25% and 5%~15% of the total trap flies, respectively. The attractant SHIYINGKE, furthermore, could not show significantly sex selection to fruit flies. The attractant SHIYINGKE could get the infected rate less than 5% and the protection rate more than 80% for balsam pear under the conditions of change the nutrition attractant every 7 days consecutively for triple times when fruit flies occurrence peak, which is similar or superior to the physical adhesives commonly used in practice.
