Eight pairs of microsatellite loci were used to analyze the correlation between genetic diversity and performances of 12 Pinctada fucata families. The results demonstrated that the correlation between the parameters of mean numbers of observed alleles (Ao),effective alleles (Ae), observed heterozygosity (Ho), expected heterozygosity (He) and polymorphic information content (PIC) and phenotypic parameter displayed a convex curve, suggesting that medium genetic parameters were conducive to pearl oyster family growth. In general, families with good performances had larger genetic diversity parameters. |
