Abstract:
      Inter simple sequence repeat (ISSR) molecular technique was used to analyze the genetic diversity of 30 Impatiens macrovexilla individuals from 3 populations. The results showed that 52 ISSR bands were amplified by 6 primers, among which 47 bands were polymorphic bands and the polymorphie rate reached 90.38%. This result revealed that there was rich genetic diversity among resources of I. macrovexilla in Guilin. The genetic distance among populations was 0.04838 and Nm was 2.8626. Such low level of population genetic differentiation might result from the breeding system of these species. UPGMA cluster analysis showed that several individuals from the same area failed to be grouped together first, which might result from the close distribution of 3 populations and the breeding system of this species.
