Abstract:
In order to get the method of improving the salt tolerance of seedlings for Pinellia ternate (Thunb.) Breit. under salt stress,we studied physiological characteristics of P. ternate biennial seedlings. Several physiological indexes of P. ternate biennial seedlings were measured treated by 5-aminolevulinic acid (ALA) under salt stress like the contents of total alkaloids, soluble protein, malondialdehyde (MDA) and the mass fraction of superoxide anion(O2-), the activities of superoxide (SOD) , peroxidase (POD), catalase (CAT) and ascorbate peroxidase (APX) were also measured. The result showed that under the treatment of 50 mg/L ALA solution, the salt tolerance and total alkaloids content of P. ternate biennial seedlings under NaCl stress(100 mmoloL-1) improved significantly.
