Study on the plant resources within and nearby a lime cave of Shangbaichang, Lianzhou, Guangdong |

Abstract: |
Plant resources are studied within and nearby a lime stone cave where the national key protected species of grade I and II of Primulina tabacum and Fagopyrum dibotrys grows naturally respectively at Shangbaichang, Lianzhou, Guangdong, and this study will be benefit to protecting and developing the rare and endangered populations. By collecting and identifying plant specimens, and analyzing on the references, the plant resources are classified to 13 groups. There are 163 species of wild vascular plants inner and nearby the cave of Shangbaichang, belonging to 73 families and 132 genera. Of which the medicinal plant resource has the most percentage of 76.07%to the total.The plant resources at Shangbaichang has obvious diversity and plenty characteristics. Most of the other plant resources should be used sustainable based on the protecting of the rare and endangered species. |
