The effects of temperature on the germination of fire hemp were investigated. Fire hemp seeds germinated from the minimum temperature 5℃to the maximum temperature 35℃. The maximum germination percentage was 95% at 20℃, But the optimum germination occurred at 25℃, with the germination energy and germination index reaches its maximum, 92.3% and 40.3%, respectively.
The germination rate declined significantly as temperature increases or decreases from the optimum temperature 25℃. using variance analysis, seed germination rate differences were not significant, germination index were significant between 20℃and 25℃. |
