Abstract: |
In order to understand the effects of trehalose on the growth of muskmelon seedlings, using foliar spraying treatment method, muskmelon seedlings was designed with different concentrations of trehalose on 0.6%NaCl solution under stress. The results showed that plant height, stem diameter, fresh weight, dry weight, leaf area and strong seedlings index of muskmelon seedlings were significantly decreased under 0.6%NaCl stress, while morphological indexes of muskmelon seedlings under salt stress were improved, with 0.4% concentration of trehalose treatment was the best. Trehalose had mitigative effect under NaCl stress on physiological and biochemical indexes of muskmelon seedlings. Compared with 0.6%NaCl stress, root activity and dissolved sugar content were increased, and MDA content and cell relative permeability were decreased using different concentrations of trehalose treatments, with 0.3%, 0.4% trehalose treatment had the best effect, effectively relieved the salt stress of muskmelon. |
