Abstract: |
Paeonia suffruticosa Andr variety “Wu Long Peng Sheng”was used to study the effects of low temperature on breaking dormancy and development of peony flower bud. The results showed that 42 days at 5℃efficiently released dormancy. Compared to CK, low temperature treatment of 42 days also had effects on development degree of flower bud and increased the bud diameter, the width of flower bud increased 0.18 cm and the length increased 0.25 cm. Low temperature could release dormancy, promote bud sprouting and flowering, and alabastrum emergence could be earlier 10 days. It showed that low temperature could accelerate the flower bud development, improve blooming rate and regulate the florescence. Absence of low temperature would lead to failure of dormancy release or not completing dormancy release. |
