The population dynamics of diamondback moth Plutella xylostella in Guangzhou in recent years were monitored by sex pheromone lures, and the impacts of climatic factors on the populations of diamondback moth were also analyzed. Main results of dynamics of P. xylostella and its relationship with climate factors were as follows: diamondback moth appeared its first population peak in February, and the lowest population was observed between June and July. The second population peak with the highest number throughout the year appeared from September to Novemeber. The correlation was significant between diamondback moth adults aptured and aerial temperature. And its population increased, and then decreased as the aerial temperature went on. The equation to fit the two parameters relationship was y =原18.0285 +13.7018x -0.3906x2. The correlation between the rainfall and diamondback moth adults aptured was significant, and fit by the formulation, y=94.69464-0.44311x+0.000897x2. |
