Abstract:
To study the distribution of soil nematode community structure in banana plantation under different soil types, three kinds of soil types including Latosols, Alluvial soil and yellow soil were collected in Hainan Province, China. The results indicated that 39 nematode genera belonging to 27 families were identified during the whole growing season. Among the identified nematode genera, Protorhabditis and Basiria were the dominant genera in Latosols; Paratylenchus was the dominant genus in Alluvial and yellow soil;Acrobeloides was the dominant genus in all treatments. The abundance of total nematodes and plant parasites were in an order of Alluvial soil< yellow soil < Latosols. The abundance of bacterivores was in an order of yellow soil < Latosols < Alluvial soil. The abundance of fungivores and omnivores-predators were in an order of Latosols < Alluvial soil < yellow soil. It indicated that the distribution of soil nematode community structure was significantly different in different banana plantation soil types. The analysis on soil nematode community structure is a useful method for interpreting the soil ecological process under tropical area.
