Abstract:
A high-resolution genetic linkage map of citrus was constructed by a compatible mating isolated from the “Kiyomi”Χ“Taiwan Ponkan”using Random-Amplified Polymorphic DNA(RAPD). The linkage maps of “Kiyomi”Χ “Taiwan Ponkan”were calculated and constructed. The molecular genetic map of pistillate parent, “Kiyomi”, showed 30 separated loci containing 7 linkage groups which covered 328 cM total map distance with average distance of 10.93 cM between every two loci. The linkage groups displayed an average length of 47 cM and average 4.3 loci in every linkage group. On the other hand, the molecular genetic map of pollen parent, “Taiwan Ponkan”, showed 23 loci containing 9 plus 1 linkage groups which covered 317 cM total map distance with average genetic distance of 13.78cM between every two loci. The linkage groups displayed an average length of 31.7 cM and average 2.3 loci in every linkage group.
