The growth and physiological effects of Ceratophyllum demersum treated with different concentration of NaF solution were studied, and removal efficency of fluorinion by C. demersum were also researched. The results showed that with the increasing of NaF concentration and culture time, chlorophyll content showed a slowly increasing trend. Superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity was higher and peroxidase activity was lower treated with lower NaF concentrations. With the NaF concentration increasing, SOD activity slowly decreased, otherwise POD activity gradually increased. Malondialdehyde content decreased with the extension of time. Variations of
fluorinion concentration showed that removal effect by C. demersum were better at 50 mg/L of NaF, and removal efficiency was the highest (38.55%) at the 4th day. Defensive mechanism of C.demersum could be stimulated effectively when suffered fluoride pollution, and C.demersum had a good removal effect to fluoride. |
