Abstract:
In order to explore the germination characteristics of Inula helenium I., a germination experiment on seeds collected from triennial plants(mother plants of the Inula helenium I.)was conducted by using a randomized block method at different temperature, light conditions and soaking time. The results showed that germination rate of the seeds was highest and germination starting speed was also fastest, as well as duration germination time was not only shortest but also germination uniformity was higher under handling conditions of a constant temperature 20℃, full light of 24 h and soaking 4 d. The all germination indexes at variable temperature 10/30℃were only inferior to constant temperature 20益. It did not only inhibit the germination but also the germination rate was still more than 80% at 24 h completely dark conditions. The longer the seeds were soaked for in water, the faster germ and radicle grew. Therefore, the conclusion which seed germination of Inula helenium I. was best under continuous 24 h light, the constant temperature 20℃or the variable temperature 10/30益and soaking 4 d in the water was drawn through integrating ecological factors such as temperature, light and moisture. And seeds of Inula helenium I. were neutral and tended to be light.
