Abstract:
      An experinmental platform for banana pre-cooling was established to analyze the cooling uniformity of banana. The air temperature uniformities of longitudinal section and cross section of the container were investigated respectively, as well as the temperature uniformity of the pulp of bananas loading at longitudinal and cross section areas,with software Matlab. Temperature uniformity of the pulp of bananas loading at longitudinal and cross section areas was calculated to reach the pre-cooling effect of banana. The result indicated that the pulp temperature of banana therein distribution of longitudinal section was similar to the air temperature in longitudinal section, both increased gradually from front to back; And the pulp temperature distribution of cross section was also similar to air temperature distribution in cross section, where upper pulp temperature was higher than the lower in cross section, which performed better temperatureuniformity than longitudinal section. Pulp temperature uniformities of longitudinal and cross section were 0.12 and 0.07,respectively. The research achievements indicated that the cooling uniformity of banana was excellent, and differential pressure pre-cooling was appropriated for banana.
