The most important characteristics of nature preservatives are safe and non-toxic. Many plants in the nature with antioxidant and antimicrobial activity, can be used as good raw materials of plant natural preservatives. Reviews on the types and application of plant natural preservatives in food and other industry were proposed. In addition, problems in the process of development, promotion and use of plant natural preservatives were analyzed, and the prospects were also presented. |
