Abstract:
      In order to analyze the genetic diversity of Canarium album L. landrances in Chaoshan area, 54 landrances of C. album L. were evaluated by ISSR. Total 49 bands were genereated with 4 ISSR primer, of which 79.59% were polymorphic. The observed number of alleles (Na), effective number of alleles (Ne), Nei's gene diversity (H) and Shannon's information index (I) of C. album L. landrances were 1.7959, 1.4316, 0.2631 and 0.4008, respectively. The genetic similarity among all the tested cultivars ranged from 0.5763 to 0.9855, an on average of 0.7780. The cluster analysis based on ISSR revealed that the landrances clustered into three groups, but the dendrogram did not indicate clear division among landrances based on their geographical origin and cultivars name.
