Tachyglossus aculeatus and Ornithorhynchus anatinus as the outgroups, using the mitochondrial genomes of Manis pentadactyla (Mammalia:Pholidota) and 30 mammalian species obtained from the GenBank, the phylogenetic trees were reconstructed with Maximum Parsimony (MP) and Bayesian Inference (BI) methods. The results showed that M.pentadactyla and Carnivora were clustered into a form sister branch in MP and BI phylogenetic trees, which supported the viewpoint about M.pentadactyla and Carnivora as a sister group. |
