The paper analyzes farmers' willingness to pay for the adoption of electric -powered unpiloted spraying helicopters and the corresponding influence factors by Contingent Valuation Method (CVM) and multiple linear regression models based on the data from four surveys. The result shows that, farmers are willing to pay 36 500 Yuan on average. Moreover, we find that multiple factors play significant roles in farmers爷willingness to pay for the adoption of electricpowered unpiloted spraying helicopters, including farmers爷gender, age, income, level of education, the scale of their own land, government爷s subsidiary policies, insurance covering for helicopter, etc. Based on the results of hypothesis tests, we conclude that among all influencing factors, the effect of scale of their own land is bigger than that of the household income and farmers爷age, and the marginal effect of high school or higher level of education is greater than the level of education below. |
