Abstract:
In order to reveal the structure and function of chicken glycerophosphodiester phosphodiesterase 4 (GDE4),the coding cDNA sequence of chicken GDE4 was cloned by reverse transcription PCR and analyzed by bioinformatical tools in detail. The results showed that coding cDNA of chicken GDE4 contained 939 nucleotides encoding 312 amino acids. Chicken GDE4 was a transmembrane protein with a classical glycerophosphodiester phosphodiesterase domain, was an evolutionarily conserved protein and had a high similarity anmong sepcies. The 3-D model of chicken GDE4 resembled a triose-phosphate-isomerase (TIM) barrel domain and its catalytic active sites were located in.
