Abstract:
Using data envelopment analysis (DEA) and spatial autocorrelation analysis method, this article evaluates the grain production efficiency and spatial correlation of each county in Hubei Province. The results show that, optimal size of the study area is 12%, small scale is 7%, the too large scale accounts for 12%, technical inefficiency accounts for 62%, and easily improved is 7%. The food production efficiency on a global spatial autocorrelation is positively related and agglomeration distribution, and the areas with high efficiency are concentration distribution and low areas also concentration distribution. From the local spatial autocorrelation, they are divided into H-H, H-L, L-L, L-H four parts. H-H are the main producing areas superior for grain production. H-L and L-H are mainly the contact zone of mountains and plains. L-L are mountainous areas, are not conducive to food production .
