Ranavirus genus of Iridoviridae family is a member of the nucleocytoplasmic large DNA viruses (NCLDV). It is
one of the infectious viral pathogens associated with severe disease in cold-blooded vertebrates, including fish, amphibians
and reptiles. The study on molecular biology of ranavirus has provided insights into viral replication, intrinsic and extrinsic
factors contributed to disease outbreaks. Transcriptomic and proteomic analysis including the oligonucleotide microarray, the
temporal class of the gene expression under drug inhibition assay and mass spectrometry (MS) proteomic methods have been
applied to identify structure, function and regulation of all transcripts and proteins of ranavirus |
