In order to explore the application prospect of photosynthetic bacteria on the cultivation of Dalbergia
odorifera, the effects of commercial compound fertilizer and photosynthetic bacteria of two concentrations by two used
methods on D. odorifera were studied. The results showed that photosynthetic bacteria could significantly promote the
seedling growth and increase the biomass accumulation of D. odorifera. By comparison with the commercial compound
fertilizer, its effect was higher and sustainable for longer period. Photosynthetic bacteria could significantly improve the
SOD activity and increase the chlorophyll content of D. odorifera. The effects of spraying on roots were better than spraying
on leaves, and the performance of dilution to 50 times was better than that of dilution to 100 times. As a biological
fertilizer, photosynthetic bacteria could not only promote the growth of seedlings, but also improve the soil condition.
