| Three weedy rices (Oryza sativa L. from Taizhou city, Dandong city and Zhaoqing city), 1 hybrid rice
(Teyouhang 1) and 1 conventional rice (Huahang 31) were selected to investigate the differences in germination
characteristics in greenhouse under salinity stress. The results showed that the seed germination rate, germination potential,
seedling length, radicle length and fresh weight of weedy rice and cultivated rice were significantly decreased by salt
concentration increasing. The content of soluble sugar of weedy rice and cultivated rice decreased with increasing of salt
concentration, Showing Teyouhang 1>Taizhou weedy rice> Dandong weedy rice> Zhaoqing weedy rice> Huahang 31. The
content of malondialdehyde (MDA) of weedy rice and cultivated rice increased with salt concentration increasing, Shawing
