Abstract:
In order to explore the effects of application of seed-coating agents on hybrid rice in seedling, the hybrid rice seeds of Shenliangyou5814 were coated with 2.5% imidacloprid-prochloraz, 3% hymexazole-prochloraz, Cruiser and Celest, respectively, and the germination rate, the percentage establishment of seedling, the seedling quality and the control effect of rice thrips were investigated. The results showed Cruiser and 3% hymexazole-prochloraz promoted the germination rate, but the percentage establishment of seedling showed no significant difference among the seeds coated with the four seed-coating agents. The plant height, leaf area and total root number showed no difference between the seeds coated with the four seed-coating agents and the control seeds, but the plant height dealed with Cruiser was higher than that dealed with 3% hymexazole-prochloraz, the leaf area dealed with Cruiser was larger than that dealed with 2.5% imidaclopridprochloraz, the total root number dealed with Cruiser were larger than that dealed with 3% hymexazole-prochloraa and 2.5% imidacloprid-prochloraa, and the seedling dry weight dealed with Cruiser was higher than that dealed with 2.5% imidacloprid-prochloraz. The comprehensive seedling quality of rice seeds dealed with Cruiser was the best. The four seed-coating agents showed control effect to rice thrips. Among them, Cruiser and 2.5% imidacloprid-prochloraz were more effective.
