Species resources of mammal in Wutong mountain nationalforest park, Shenzhen, Guangdong, China |

Abstract: |
Survey on mammal species resources was conducted in Wutong mountain national forest park in Shenzhen
of Guangdong province from April to August, 2012. 24 species of mammal were found under 17 genera, 11 families and 7
orders. There were 10 Chiropteran species and 7 Rodentian species, accounted for 41.7% and 29.2% respectively. There
were 2 Insectivora species and 2 Carnivora species, accounted for 16.7%. There were 1 Primates species, 1 Pholidota
species and 1 Artiodactyla species, accounted for 12.5%. Among 24 species, 2 species were grade 域key state-protected
species and 4 species were the national protected terrestrial wild animals with important ecological, economic and scientific
values, 3 species were listed in the IUCN red list of threatened animals, and 3 species were ranked the threatened animals
by CITES 域, 6 species were included in the list of China Red Data Book of Endangered Animals, 17 species belonged to
oriental type species while other each 3 species belonged to palaearctic type and south China type respectively. |
