Abstract:
      From July 2011 to December 2012, 115 Suncus murinus were catched to understand their biological characteristics with method of mouse-trap-day in Yulin, Guangxi. Study on digestive system and feeding habit of this species was carried out. Result showed that, the length, weight and volume of esophagus were 5.4 cm, 0.21 g and 0.18 mL; these data of stomach with food were 3.15 cm, 1.83 g and 2.06 mL; the weight and volume of stomach without food were 1.83 g and 2.06 mL; the length, weight and volume of intestine were 51.40 cm, 3.12 g and 3.75 mL; the weight of pancreas and liver were 0.48 g and 2.29 g; the volume of pancreas and liver were 0.54 mL and 2.04 mL. After the analysis of feeding habit, the result showed that musk shrew was omnivorous, mainly fed on animal food, the volume rate of animal food reached 70.52%. S.murinus has certain hazards, poison method can not effectively reduce the population quantity, is unable to achieve good control effect.
