| More and more researchers pay attention to study on Heart fatty acid binding acid (H-FABP), Adipocyte fatty
acid binding protein (A -FABP) and Extracellular fatty acid binding protein (Ex -FABP) affecting the contents of
Intramuscular fat (IMF) in chicken. By reviewing the latest advance about value of IMF on chickens in recent years, this
article discusses connections from 3 aspects, including functions, SNPs and pyramiding effect of H-FABP, A-FABP and EXFABP,
etc with IMF. Several important questions are raised for future study. Reviewing three important candidate genes of
IMF in chickens could produce more valuable information and be useful for quality chickens in genetics and breeding. |
