Abstract:
The experiment was conducted to analyze moisture, crude protein, crude fat, ash, parts of vitamins and minerals and amino acid composition in Zophobas morio larvae by methods of the national standards (GB). The results showed that, (1) The contents of moisture, crude protein, crude fat and ash in live insects were 57.87%, 20.13%, 18.69% and 1.72%, respectively. Based on dry matter, the contents of crude fat, crude protein and ash were 38.99%, 49.51% and 2.13%, respectively. (2) Vitamin E was the highest fat-soluble vitamins in Z. morio larvae powder (23.490.06 mg/kg). Likewise, vitamin C was determinated to be the highest water-soluble vitamins (16.040.03 mg/kg), followed by riboflavin (Vitamin B2, 13.600.09 mg/kg). (3) K and Zn, represented the macro and trace minerals, were relatively high (7 620.12 2.26 mg/kg and 88.741.60 mg/kg, respectively), followed by P and Fe (6 150.48依6.53 mg/kg and 78.30依1.78 mg/kg, respectively). Ca was relatively low in macro minerals (1 005.024.08 mg/kg), while Cu and Mn were relatively low in the trace minerals (14.71依0.21 mg/kg and 18.731.09 mg/kg, respectively). (4) 17 kinds of amino acids were found in Z. morio larvae powder. The total content of 17 kinds of amino acids reached 41.92 g/100g, in which the content of essential amino acids and delicious amino acid泽were 44.80% and 36.64%, respectively.
