Bred new rice germplasm with photooxidation and shade tolerance by ear-stem injecting the DNA of Oryza
officinalis into the restorer R225. About 90%-75% of the T0 and T1 generation seedlings turned yellow even died after fully
shaded day and night for 15 d. Finally, 3 plant lines with photooxidation and shade tolerance were screened by determining
the photooxidation-tolerance index in booting and filling stages in T2 and T3 generations. Three types of DNA ladders
different from R225 were amplified in transformed lines by SSR makers detecting. The results showed that the DNA of O.
officinalis was transformed into R225 successfully. Presumably, RM219 and RM5490 link closely to the QTLs of
photooxidation or shade tolerance in rice. |
