Low -phosphorus tolerance of 63 corn inbred lines were identified through pot culture in greenhouse.
Relative value was used to represent traits tolerance to low-phosphorus stress, corn total tolerance to low-phosphorus stress
was represented by comprehensive index, the tolerance degree was divided by population gradually classification method.
The results showed that, low-phosphorus stress influenced corn seedling growth severely, the living leave number, plant
height, stem diameter, root dry weight significantly positively correlated with relative stems and leave dry weight, so these
traits were reliable to evaluate maize tolerance to low-phosphorus stress. 10 lines including 3 (11629-2), 6 (11583-1), 8
(11527-3) were highly tolerant (HT) to low-phosphorus stress, 10 lines including 15(11492-1), 21(11455-1), 22(11578-4)
were highly sensitive (HS) to low-phosphorus stress, and the other lines were tolerant (T), sensitive(S) or middle sensitive
(MS) to low-phosphorus stress. |
