Six generations (P1, P2, F1, B1, B2-F1) were obtained from cross between two species of luffa, inbred line of
ridge gourd 28-0-0 used as female parent and inbred line of sponge gourd 37-0-1-1 used as male parent. Mixed major
gene plus polygene inheritance model was conducted for genetic analysis of fruit length and fruit stalk length. The result
showed that the optimal model for fruit length was C -0 (additive -dominance -epistasis polygene inheritance model),
influenced by environment greatly. The optimal model for fruit stalk length was D-0 (one pair of additive-dominance major
gene plus additive-dominance-epistasis polygene model), the major gene heritability was higher in F2 and B1 generation,
with the value of 57.60% and 61.90%, respectively, and environmental variance accounted for 38.10%-80.00% of the
phenotypic variance. |
