A rapid and accurate mothod for identifying the sex of Dianhania glauculalis pupae and adult emergence
rhythm was introduced. According to observing abdominal morphological characteristics of D. glauculalis pupae, some
significant differences between male and female pupae were found. To the fmale pupae, a longitudinal cracks existed on the
8th uromere爷s abdominal, and the space around the suture was smooth. While to the male pupae, no cracks was found on
the suface of 8th uromere, and a black suture could be found on the 9th uromere, connecting the 10th uromere. In addition,
adult had eclosion full-time, but mainly concentrated in the evening, accounting for 75.1%. |
